A Celebration of Women, Community and the Sea
The Big Swim is about far more than just getting in the water. Taking place around International Women’s Day, it’s a celebration of women, community and connection, welcoming swimmers of all abilities alongside friends, family and supporters on the shore.
This year’s theme, #GiveToGain, is a reminder that small actions can create meaningful change, whether that’s showing up for yourself, supporting others, or simply being part of something bigger.
Why It Matters to Us
Wild swimming has a unique way of grounding people and bringing them together. There’s something powerful about sharing the sea, especially in a supportive, joyful environment like The Big Swim.
We also love that the event supports Surfers Against Sewage, helping protect the waters we swim in and care about.
We’ll Be There on the Day
We’ll be at the Brighton swim on 14 March 2026, cheering swimmers on and soaking up the atmosphere. We’ll also be giving away five pairs of Brighton Water Shoes on the day to lucky swimmers who’ve forgotten their shoes.
